Inspired by science, weather systems, rust, and decay, the work continues to examine a gestural technique which involves the dripping of liquid veils of paint contrasted with thicker applications of oil. The weeping paint serves almost as a reverse-wash, a tear-stained window through which we see geometric forms that float ominously. The recurring motif of the circle in his work has drawn many obvious comparisons, alluding to eyes, the womb or the earth itself. The paintings have their titles taken from the list of Atlantic Hurricane names, which imbues the paintings with gender, a life and a personality of their own, along with the year and order of creation. Certain pieces take on added notoriety following the destructive power of hurricane season.
 
Recent works exploring the space between representational forms and pure abstract marks taking in subjects as diverse as dystopian literature, political and human environs and dilapidated architecture.
